Happy New Year!

RED HANDED!!!

One of her new favorite past-times! She waits for just the right moment, when noone is looking!
Just before going down the hill

THRILLED with their current circumstances, as usual

I know, I totally look like a pro right?!?!

So, for New Years, we had the cabin this year so we packed up the house(literally, I swear) and bundled up for a long weekend with my family, minus Kim and Dan, who was sick. We got up there and it was fairly warm(I use that term loosely!) So we loaded all our stuff in the rangers and tobbogans and up the mountain we went. We had an aweesome weekend of snowmobiling, sledding, and I even tried snowboarding for the first time. Neither of the girls LOVED the snow, but Emerie would at least try to walk in it. She didn't like sledding, but Addy didn't seem to mind it. It is so funny how different they are and it has been so fun to watch them grow and develope. Anyways, it was an awesome time, as usual and we loved spending time with everyone and are greatful for the memories that we get to make up at the cabin!!! Happy New Year everyone!

This child needs a home!!!(and Merry Christmas)

Almost all of the Briggs siblings

Thrilled with their new chairs.

Trying to get a picture of both of them, only got Nems! Next time I will try duct tape!!!

The Johnson Family!(man we're a good looking bunch!)

" I need my morning cup-0-joe!"said little orphan Addy.

Ok, so do you ever have those days where you look at your children and think they look like orphans? Well i am sure that child protective services were to come to my house most days they would take away my parenting rights:) One day I am hoping to use these as possible blackmail pictures.

Here are our christmas eve jammy pictures. My mom always spend so much time and effort looking for cute jammies that will all match together and then we take pictures and eat tons of food and open christmas eve stockings, which my mom also provides. It is a fun night just spent with family! I am so greatful for Matt and I's families and all that they do for us! Most of my greatest friends, I have found in my family and feel extremely blessed to be able to say that!

Here is a picture of Matt, his brothers(minus Elder Sam) and Crystal at her wedding which we got to go to Oregon for. It turned out beautiful and we were glad to be able to spend some time with the Briggs clan right before Christmas!

Our home!

I sure am glad it wasn't me that had to be out there in the cold!

So they poured the foundation for our house today! It is so exciting and I can't wait to see everything we picked out all together! Only 3 and a half more months:)

Happy Turkey Day!

This picture was taken at about 4:30 a.m. Look how happy we still look! Even the pregnant lady in the middle is smiling!
What a cheesy smile!!!

Yes, she got a hold of a diet mountain dew! I am expecting my mother of the year award any day now!

I love my hubby!!!!!

My first attempt to make the turkey!

So this year, we got to spend Thanksgiving at my parents cabin, which is always fun and relaxing! We weren't sure if we were going to be able to drive up this year or if we would have to take the snowmobiles, but due to the lack of snow we got to take our cars, which is faster and warmer! Addy has been walking for about weeks now and definitely enjoyed the space at the cabin where she could just "make the rounds", through the kitchen to living room and sitting room and around again and again. Occasionally she would wander down the hall where Luke kept an eye on her! (thanks Luke) Emerie took her first steps up there, and is getting more confident, so it shouldn't be long!

Also, this year, as with every year, we participated in the CRAZINESS of black Friday. Instead of coming down to Southtowne at midnight, we went to the outlets in Park City. And this year was a big year because Ambree got to come with us for the first time. We went to Walmart for the first time, which we have said we would never do, but we did and we will NEVER go again. That was too crazy, even for us! We made through the night and got back to the cabin at 7:30. where everyone was just starting to wake up!

What a fun weekend! I am so grateful for wonderful family and friends!

FOR THE WARMTH OF THE CHILDREN

So, I really do have the most wonderful family ever! My cute nephew Alec, started this clothing drive a few years ago and it now includes his brother Carter and sister Savvy. They work hard on this project getting the word out and collecting everything and then taking it to schools in underpriveleged areas! Please visit this blog and take a minute out of your day to see if you could donate anything at all. I would be more than happy to pick up anything you might have!
And just remember that more and more people need OUR help this year with the slumping economy and so many losing their homes. These kids have helped to remind me that I have been extremely blessed and I should share my blessings with others! Thanks to all my nieces and nephews who help to make me a better person!

A little late but.....Happy Halloween!

Here are the guys. I am not sure what face Matt is doing, but he was pulling it in every pic!
I decided I couldn't be a blonde!

She sat in this same spot for probably 10 minutes(which is not easy for her!)

I think Savvy was the only one that wasn't confused about what to do in this shot!

This is the funniest, because Addy was really sad that she had to wear her costume at first and Emerie just loved it!

Here are our Halloween pics. The girls were lambs. Emerie was only too happy to wear her costume, but Addison had to get used to it first. Savvy was Little Bo Peep and Luke was the big bad wolf!? We walked around Robyn and Jer's neighborhood for a little while and then went to see Dan, Kim and Ambree. By that time they were definitely done for the day, but Aunt Kimmy gave them each a sucker with the wrapper on and that appeased them until they figured how to get the warpping off and I took the suckers away(bad idea!) It was a fun night, probably more so for me than them, but oh well! Thanks Mimi for the perfect costumes!!!
The pics of Matt and I are at a Halloween party with the Allen's, the Monsen's and the Fairbanks. Matt and I were Sandy and Danny from Grease. I think we looked pretty good, especially Matt with his wig and 5700 bobby pins! Thanks Allen's for letting us invade your house this year!
